Antibiotic

Antibiotics is the chemical substances produced as the metabolic products of some microorganisms and acts as toxin against other microorganisms either inhibiting their growth or killing them. The first antibiotic to be isolated was penicillin, It was discoverd by Sir Alexander Fleming. He extracted if from Penicillium notatum. Antibiotics are powerful medicines that fight bacterial infections. Used properly, antibiotics can save lives. They either kill bacteria or keep them from reproducing. Your body's natural defenses can usually take it from there. Antibiotics do not fight infections caused by viruses, such as Colds, Flu, Most coughs and bronchitis, Sore throats. If a virus is making you sick, taking antibiotics may do more harm than good. Using antibiotics when you don't need them, or not using them properly, can add to antibiotic resistance. This happens when bacteria change and become able to resist the effects of an antibiotic

Vaccines

Vaccine is a liquid chemical substance, which is used to stimulate an immuno response in the body. A vaccine is a biological preparation that provides active acquired immunity to a particular disease. A vaccine typically contains an agent that resembles a disease-causing micro-organism and is often made from weakened or killed forms of the microbe, its toxins or one of its surface proteins. The administration of vaccines is called vaccination. The effectiveness of vaccination has been widely studied and verified; for example, the influenza vaccine
